Our Namesake
In Honor of Prof. (Amb.) George A. Obiozor
The Foundation carries the name of Prof. (Amb.) George Achulike Obiozor (1942–2022) — a Nigerian scholar, career diplomat and statesman who served as Nigeria's Ambassador to Israel and to the United States, and as the 10th President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. His life was defined by scholarship, diplomacy and unwavering advocacy for education and the dignity of his people.
The Obiozor Education Foundation continues his conviction that education is the surest path to national dignity and community transformation.
